French Press? :)

When we had coffee in Tillamook (which is a fine town that has a lot to offer besides coffee), it tasted like cow. I'm not kidding. We had an americano. It must have been the water. And I'm talking the smell of cow was in the taste of the coffee. Not nice at all.

A big tip off for us in how well someone knows their coffee is in how they handle the decaf. Another place on our honeymoon was digging around the cupboard for a bag of pre-ground decaf to spoon into the portafilter. We just sighed. It was too late to walk out.

I would agree with the comment on coffee outside of Seattle. There is a place in LUBBOCK Texas that we frequent owned by Justin Barnard (Shane's older brother) which does a good job - but outside that, the only good place to get good coffee would be in our car while on tour. Elise & I pack well. :)
