Sunday Morning Breakfast
Kate’s is a cozy little cafe in downtown Everett. She serves both Greek and American food, but a weekend breakfast is why we come. The feel is small-town diner, and the menu is full of good comfort food. She’s open until 3, so it’s a good place for breakfast or lunch.
Outside of Kate's
This morning Josh ordered the Taco Scramble - Three eggs scrambled with seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, onions, black olives, cheddar cheese and salsa and sour cream on the side. It comes with hash browns and toast for $8.25. This was the first time we’ve tried it, and it was really good. There is good flavor in the dish, and the salsa adds just enough heat - we liked it a lot.
Taco Scramble
I ordered what I get every time - Eggs Benedict ($8.50). It’s the typical dish of an English muffin topped with ham, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I love it. It also comes with hashbrowns - they’re thick-cut and browned and crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. They’re great comfort food.

This morning we also ordered a Blueberry pancake to share ($3.75) The pancakes are huge, and one between us is more than enough. It’s sweet and full of blueberries, with buttery crisp edges, and served with whip cream on the side. It’s a wonderful sweet-tooth addition to our big breakfast.
Sunday Morning Breakfast
The seating is self-serve, the coffee is decent (even the decaf isn’t bad), and there’s stacks of newspapers lying around for customers to read over their meal. It’s a nice place to come and have a mellow, filling breakfast. There are lots of other items on the menu, along with the typical breakfast fare. Among them are Burgers and Hot Sandwiches, Gyros (chicken, falafel, veggie, or the traditional gyro meat of beef and lamb), Salads, and various Greek dishes as sides for lunch - Humus, Tzatziki and Pita Bread, Melitazsosala’ta, Spanakopita and Tiropeta’kia. Overall, this is a restaurant we would recommend!
